With the approaching Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on May 31, traditional cultural ornaments are experiencing a surge in sales thanks to new products combining traditional cultural elements with modern designs.

Wearing sachets is an important traditional custom during the Dragon Boat Festival. The sachets sold on the streets not only come in traditional square and round shapes but also feature creative designs such as the shape of zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) and animals, with exquisite embroidery and a variety of patterns.

A resident surnamed Yang from Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province, said: "The Dragon Boat Festival is a nostalgic time of year. I hope my children get the chance to experience these vibrant traditions."

New style of Artemisia flower bouquets and door hangings are still selling well. Many flower shops have introduced creative bouquets that combine Artemisia with zongzi and fresh fruits.

Another flower shop in downtown Lanzhou even offers customized packaging services for Artemisia bouquets, allowing customers to mix flowers and decorations according to their preferences.

"The Artemisia bouquets made today have already been sold out! We expect demand from customers to continue to increase in the coming days, with this year's orders nearly doubling compared to the same period last year," said a shop employee.
