The total area of Shichuan Ancient Pear Orchard is over 8,000 hectares. It is a key production area for high-quality fruit in Lanzhou, with its Ruan'er pear and Dongguo pear renowned throughout the country. The ancient pear orchard has more than 9,423 pear trees that are over a hundred years old, and more than 2,000 trees that are over 300 years old. It is recognized as a "living plant specimen" by the international botanical community，a rare "pear orchard museum" and the "world's first ancient pear orchard" by Guinness World Records.

Nowadays, the Shichuan Ancient Pear Orchard produces over 2,500 tons of pears annually, bringing in a revenue of over 20 million yuan for local farmers.
