Over two months have passed since the opening of Terminal 3 at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport in Northwest China's Gansu province.

As of May 20, Terminal 3 has seen 20,000 takeoffs and landings and a passenger throughput topping 2.79 million, year-on-year increases of 5.2 percent and 9.5 percent, respectively.

The terminal expands the airport's total area and increases its transportation capacity, technological level, and service quality.

The Lanzhou airport has added or resumed flights to numerous destinations, such as Qitai, Shache, and Bole, along with flights to popular tourist cities such as Shanghai, Urumqi, and Chengdu.

It has also opened flights to international destinations such as Osaka, Nagoya, and Singapore, serving as a convenient air bridge for Gansu's opening-up, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges.

The airport has achieved the standardized management of support processes and nodes by introducing the Airport-Collaborative Decision-Making (A-CDM) system. AI intelligent allocation algorithms have also been introduced to improve the efficiency of ground support and collaboration.

Under the collaborative empowerment of the service brand matrix and intelligent and smart service facilities, the airport's passenger services have improved.

For example, inside Terminal 3, self-service check-in and self-service luggage check-in are both located at the same stop, eliminating the need for passengers to travel back and forth between different areas.
