Following the opening of the Lanzhou-Zhangye High-Speed Railway (Lanzhou-Wuwei section), Wuwei has entered the era of high-speed rail. With this new connection, the travel time between Wuwei East Station and Lanzhou West Station is now reduced to just 1 hour and 43 minutes, while reaching Zhongchuan Airport takes only 1 hour and 5 minutes.
