The 2024 China Industrial Transfer Development Conference (Gansu) opened in Lanzhou on Oct 27, under the theme "Sharing New National Strategic Opportunities and Building a New Industrial Pattern in Western China." The event aims to create a modern industrial system that is self-reliant, secure, and highly competitive through industrial gradient transfer and precise cooperation.

At the opening ceremony, a total of 195 industrial cooperation projects were signed, representing an investment of 306.2 billion yuan ($42.88 billion). The projects span across multiple sectors, including new energy and equipment manufacturing, petrochemicals, new materials, electronic information, and specialty agricultural products and food processing. These investments are set to revitalize Gansu's industrial economy by promoting stable growth and optimizing the industrial structure, while simultaneously driving the transformation and high-quality development of China's western regions.

As one of China's important traditional industrial bases, Gansu province offers unique advantages for industrial transfer, featuring rich energy and natural resources, complete industrial systems, broad development space, a favorable business environment, and strong development momentum. This conference serves as a significant platform and opportunity for Gansu to better integrate into national strategic initiatives, promote higher-level opening-up, and achieve high-quality development.
