International contestants from the 2024 Silk Road Global Tourism Pageant gathered at Zhangye's spectacular Danxia landforms in Gansu province last Sunday for a remarkable photo shoot. The event, themed "Pearl of the Silk Road · Rainbow Zhangye," featured 45 delegates representing more than 20 countries and regions.

The participants embarked on a cultural journey across Zhangye's premier attractions, including the historic Lanting Museum, Jinyang Museum, and the iconic Heihe Bridge. Their tour extended to the Binhe Jiuliangye Cultural Tourism Area and culminated at the world-renowned Rainbow Mountains scenic area.

The following day saw the delegates venture to Shenshawo Island Tourism Resort, where they captured striking images amid vast desert landscapes, with camels adding an authentic Silk Road element to the scene. The resort has emerged as a premier tourist destination, attracting visitors worldwide with its diverse offerings, including desert gliding, orienteering adventures, and thrilling camel races.
