Gansu welcomes 25.1 million tourists during May Day holiday

With the continued popularity of Tianshui Malatang, the number of tourists to major tourist attractions in Tianshui city soared during the May Day holiday. The Maiji Mountain Scenic Area became a top choice for many tourists, receiving 66,535 tourists on May 2 alone.
Tourist attractions in Dunhuang also witnessed a surge in tourists during the holiday period. According to statistics from the Dunhuang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the city welcomed 551,900 tourists during the May Day holiday, a year-on-year increase of 45.89 percent. Tourism revenue reached over 450 million yuan ($63.47 million), representing a year-on-year increase of 37.47 percent.
