Gansu welcomes 25.1 million tourists during May Day holiday

The Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released data showing that Gansu received 25.1 million tourists and generated 15.09 billion yuan ($2.13 billion) in tourism revenue during the five-day May Day holiday, marking year-on-year increases of 23.7 percent and 38 percent, respectively.
The seven 5A-level tourist attractions in Gansu, along with the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, welcomed a total of 855,000 tourists, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to the same period last year, representing a 12.5 percent year-on-year growth.
