Intl chamber of commerce conference starts with focus on peace, prosperity
On Sept 6, the Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce (Dunhuang) Conference & the Gansu Key Industrial Chain Matchmaking Fair were held in Dunhuang, Gansu province.

The conference gathered diplomatic envoys and chamber of commerce officials from countries and regions including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Russia, Vietnam, Croatia, Indonesia, Cambodia, New Zealand, Japan and the United States, and representatives from over 20 domestic and foreign enterprises.
In his speech, Yuri Schenko, Belarusian Ambassador to China, said that this meeting provides an excellent opportunity for Chinese and other international friends to understand Belarus's traditional culture.
"If we do not understand a partner country's culture, traditions, and customs, it is impossible to develop long-term effective cooperation on the basis of mutual trust and benefit." He hopes that Chinese investors will actively participate in the construction of Belarus's cultural and tourism infrastructure and help create an exchange platform for cultural, tourism, sports, and health.
Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, Sinisa Berjan, expressed a wish to enhance cultural exchanges and expand cooperation with China and other countries.
According to him, over the past decade, Bosnia and Herzegovina has engaged in cooperative discussions under the Belt and Road Initiative, and has shared mutual benefits with many countries. Significant progress has been made in the development of the cultural industry.
Croatian National Tourist Board, China Representative Office Director and European Travel Commission China Chapter Chairwoman Franka Gulin elaborated on the concept of sustainable development in the cultural tourism industry. She highlighted the collaborative efforts between Croatia and China in protecting the natural wonders of Croatia.
President of the Gansu Provincial Cultural Industry Chamber of Commerce Nan Zhenqi believes that it is necessary to use digital technology to promote cultural integration and industrial linkage. He put forward a series of suggestions, including showcasing historical culture through digital technology, promoting training for digital talents, and developing e-commerce.
