The purple alfalfa harvest season has arrived at the Yasheng pastoral ecological farming base in Liangzhou district of Wuwei, Northwest China's Gansu province.

With hundreds of hectares of lush purple alfalfa swaying in the wind, the fields are transforming into a striped blanket.
