On July 20, workers were busy plucking edible white jade fungi in the greenhouses in Qingyang, Northwest China's Gansu province.
Harvest of the first crop began on July 10, and the picking period is expected to last until the end of August. According to the current growth situation, each fungus stick is expected to produce 60g -75g of dried fungi.
In 2021, Xifeng district of Qingyang has attracted investment in the construction of a fungus growing base, which includes 50 planting greenhouses with many breeding rooms, cultivation rooms, comprehensive rooms and auxiliary rooms.
The base was put into operation on April 1 this year. At present, 48 sheds are made for planting jade fungi, each capable of producing 20,000 bags of fungus sticks.
