As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, sachets are selling like hotcakes.

Craftswomen from a local sachet-making company in Xifeng district, Qingyang, Gansu province are racing against time to fill the orders.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, children normally wear scented sachets threaded with five-color silk string to ward off evil. A scented sachet is an ornament worn on the front of the dress. The sweet-smelling sachet contains cinnabar, realgar and aromatic herbs.

In recent years, Qingyang's Xifeng district has expanded leading sachet enterprises, built an industrial demonstration base, and cultivated a galaxy of craft inheritors.

At present, the district is home to 58 marketing companies and more than 12,000 employees, with an average production of 5 million pieces of folk cultural products a year.
