"Spring scenery greets the eye; sweet blooms perfume the air." Such is the delight of spring time in Tangwang town, Dongxiang county, Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, Gansu province, as depicted by an ancient Chinese poem.

Apricot blossoms have sprung up and begun to bloom, decorating the mountains and fields with delicate pink petals.

The much-anticipated annual apricot blossom tourism festival will kick off soon, which is expected to host a series of themed activities.

The mighty Taohe River, century-old apricot trees, and simple farmhouses are ready to welcome visitors across the country.

Tangwang is 60 kilometers from the provincial capital of Lanzhou. It is an important gateway sitting along the Silk Road, an ancient trade road linking Northwest China, West Asia and Europe.
