From the beginning of 2021, 112 hospitals have registered for the program, with 32 outstanding applicants having passed the review.
The Heart Center of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University keeps up with the frontiers of interventional cardiology. In 2016, Zhang Zheng and Bai Ming, professors at the hospital, set up an all-in-one heart valve interventional diagnosis and treatment team.
In the past six years, the team has carried out transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) and pulmonary valve interventional treatment, completing more than 100 cases of valvular disease interventional surgery. It is the first in China to offer 24-hour emergency interventional treatment of valvular disease, which has resulted in the saving of many critically ill patients.
At the same time, the team has utilized ultrasound, CTA, CMR and other imaging multimodal technologies to conduct research on the etiology, mechanism, and timing of surgery for valve disease, putting forward various academic viewpoints at domestic and international conferences.
