Lanzhou New Area magnet to talents nationwide
Lanzhou New Area, the first state-level new area in Northwest China, has formed a 100 billion new material and fine chemical industrial cluster.

"Thanks to the stable development environment, the first phase of our firm's project went smoothly, absorbing nearly 300 employees," said Ge Guangshan, head of the Gansu Langma Qiyun Technology Co. The number will increase to about 1,000 once the whole project is put into operation.
"The company's benefits have continued to improve since it settled in Lanzhou New Area in 2019. We are expanding the production line to increase the annual output from 1,000 tons to 3,000 tons," said Huang Jianzhong, head of the Lanzhou Xinlongtai Biotechnology Co.
The 38-year-old Zhang Haolin is a native of Gansu. He has worked in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and several other places for many years and has acquired rich experience in production safety management. Two years ago, he decided to return to his hometown for employment after seeing the momentum of industrial development in Lanzhou New Area and the great demand for talents. At present, he is the deputy director of the safety and environmental protection department of the Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials Co.
"The new area is changing fast. I feel at ease in my hometown doing business and planning for the future," Zhang said, noting that many technical personnel like him also choose to work here.
Chen Moyu graduated from Peking University and was transferred from the headquarters of Hailiang Group in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, to Lanzhou New Area this year. "Here is a hot spot for development, and I look forward to approaching life here," she said.
Over the past three years, the new area has attracted nearly 100,000 talents in various fields. Since the beginning of this year, the area has carried out 30 online and offline recruitment activities, where more than 80,000 people have reached their employment intentions.
