A number of egrets, crested grebes and other rare bird species have arrived at Xuanjing Lake in Jingning county, Pingliang, Gansu province.

The pleasant climate and good ecological conditions provide an ideal habitat for these wild birds.

Xuanjing Lake, covering an area of two square kilometers, is an important local water source. In the past, the water ecology was severely damaged due to the discharge of industrial and domestic sewage and the pollution of urban and rural garbage.

Since 2010, a water pollution leading group has been established to implement joint governance. After years of hard work, the lake has become a portrayal of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
