Gansu set for fruitful outing at 5th CIIE
Gansu province is expected to reach a series of strategic cooperation intention agreements with business partners at the ongoing fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is running from Nov 5 to 10.

As of now, the Gansu delegation has signed a total of 30 projects with a total contracted amount of 3 billion yuan ($415 million), covering iron ore, integrated circuit packaging equipment, agricultural products, food and more.
On Nov 6, the Gansu-based Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Company signed a contract of $150 million with the Rio Tinto Company on copper concentrate.

During the event, a 216-sq m- pavilion was also unveiled to display the province's achievements in foreign trade, foreign investment, and foreign capital utilization over the past decade.
Since its inception in 2018, the CIIE has become a strong buttress for Gansu's foreign trade, and an important window for foreign exchanges. Data show that the province's total import contract value of the first four CIIEs reached 10.61 billion US dollars.
