Pink and white lotus flowers stand as if in attention by the Danghe River in Dunhuang, Northwest China's Gansu province, their fragrance wafting in the cool breeze.

After an autumn rain, tourists bask in the azure sky, white clouds and lotus blossoms that form an idyllic scenery.

The best time for viewing the flowers is from the end of June until the end of October. Every day, hundreds of people will come to appreciate the distinctive lotus views.
