The closing ceremony of Culture City of East Asia 2021·China Dunhuang Year of Activity was held in Dunhuang, Gansu province on March 8, both online and offline.

A photography exhibition featuring more than 100 photos was held on the same day, sponsored by the Culture, Sports, Radio, Film and Tourism Bureau of Dunhuang and the Dunhuang Cultural Center, with an eye on cultural relics, grotto art, strange mountains and waters and folk customs.

Boasting grottoes along the ancient Silk Road that form the world's longest painted corridor, Dunhuang was picked as the cultural city of the year in 2021.

The city has carried out a variety of activities which have unlocked its vitality and improved its international presence.

Delegates from East Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea are seeing great opportunities for cultural exchanges and cooperation.
